EZTrak Vehicle Tracking Device

The organizers of 2017 Waste Management Winter Rallysprint are equipping all competitors and course cars with EZTrak vehicle tracking devices. These devices will enable event officials to know your location and movement status in real time and to be automatically alerted of any irregularities (e.g you have come to a stop on an active stage). They also enable everybody who has access to the internet – whether through PC, tablet or cellphone – to follow your movements LIVE. Your friends, family, crew, sponsors and fans can all monitor your movements and (unofficial) stage times by pointing their web browser to live.cdnrally.com. Anyone can also follow the event live with a free smartphone app available for iOS, Android and Blackberry at app.cdnrally.com.

Collection
An EZTrak device will be placed in your rally car at Scrutineering by an event official.

Operation
The EZTrak device performs all of its monitoring, motion analysis and reporting functions automatically with no user interaction.

PRESS AND HOLD THE RED BUTTON ON THE DEVICE FOR AT LEAST 3 SECONDS in any situation where you should display a RED CROSS as dictated by the applicable regulations. This action will cause the tracking device to send an emergency alarm signal to Net Control.

THE TRACKING DEVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE USE OF THE WARNING TRIANGLE AND RED CROSS AS DICTATED BY THE APPLICABLE REGULATIONS.

Return
An official will remove the EZTrak device from your rally car at the fairgrounds at the end of the transit to the finish from stage 5. If you DNF on a stage one of the sweep vehicles will remove the device from your rally car. If you DNF elsewhere you must return your device to Net Control at the fairgrounds.
